Guided Setup Option

The Guided Setup Option is built for estates that already know their crop blocks but do not want to figure out sensor placement on their own. Instead of handing over a box of hardware and a manual, our team walks through the first deployment with you: which rows to prioritize, how deep to seat each probe, and what baseline readings to record before the system starts feeding the dashboard.

Most of the work happens before the sensors go into the ground. We map the field boundaries, check the soil texture at each proposed location, and confirm that the gateway has a clear signal path back to the office. That sounds simple, but in practice it is where most monitoring projects stall. A sensor placed in compacted clay reads differently from one placed in sandy loam, and if the baseline is wrong, every trend line after that is misleading.

The setup session covers three concrete areas:

• Site walkthrough and sensor placement planning for each block
• Probe depth calibration based on the crop root zone and local soil type
• First data capture and validation against manual soil samples

You also get a short handover document that records where each sensor sits, what the initial readings were, and which values should trigger a check. That document becomes the reference point for your own field team, so the next deployment does not need to start from zero.

The option is a single engagement, not a subscription. Once the baseline is set and your team has run through the dashboard once, the system continues on its own. If you later want help expanding to new blocks or recalibrating after a replanting, that falls under the ongoing support package rather than this setup.
