A standard session covers sensor placement, baseline soil sampling, and the first calibration pass. We bring our own reference probes and a field laptop with the monitoring dashboard preloaded. The session runs four to five hours on-site, including a walkthrough of the data log format your team will use afterward.
Most sessions happen on-site at your plantation, because soil conditions and layout affect how sensors should be positioned. For teams that prefer a classroom setting first, we can run the introductory module at our Klang City office, then schedule the field portion separately. Both formats use the same workbook and reference materials.
Participants should bring a rugged tablet or laptop with a web browser, since the dashboard runs in-browser and does not require local software. We supply the sensor units, cabling, soil augers, and calibration standards. If your team has existing soil probes from another vendor, send the model numbers ahead of the session so we can check compatibility.
We cap field sessions at eight participants so everyone gets hands-on time with the sensors and the dashboard. For larger agronomy teams, we split the group into two half-day sessions on consecutive days. The workbook and data exercises stay identical between the two groups, so results remain comparable.
Each participant receives a completion note listing the modules covered and the calibration tasks they performed. The plantation also gets a short written summary with sensor IDs, placement coordinates, and any follow-up actions we recommend. This document is meant for internal records, not as a formal accreditation.
The workbook uses reference data from Malaysian mineral soils and peat areas, but we adjust the calibration procedure on the spot if your readings fall outside the expected range. If the difference is significant, we schedule a second visit to re-check sensor offsets after the first irrigation cycle. That visit is covered under the same workshop fee.
